Lake Michigan Presbytery Day at APCE in Grand Rapids
What an amazing opportunity we have to attend the APCE Annual Event in our presbytery! We hope that many educators, pastors, and lay people will attend. Those who cannot attend all four days of the APCE Annual Event are encouraged to come on Friday, which will be a full day of workshops.
On Friday everyone from the presbytery will gather for lunch at Westmisnter Presbyterian Church.

Rachel Schwab will lead a workshop on "Godly Play"
Rev. Rachel Schwab is mom, educator and pastor. She was ordained a minister of the word and sacrament in the PCUSA in 2000, she has served churches in Wisconsin, Hawaii, and now is living in Lowell, Michigan with her family. She was an Associate Pastor for Christian Education for 6 years in Neenah, WI. She has also Served as pastor at Hanapepe Hawaiian Congregational Church (UCC) on the island of Kauai, Hawaii, where she co- created curriculum in Hawaiian-English, and led workshops for educators, pastors for the Hawaii Conference (UCC). Rachel has also been a member and representative for GLAPCE.
APCE in Grand Rapids
February 1 to 4, 2012 are the dates for the Annual Event of the Association of Presbyterian Church Educators in Grand Rapids, Michigan! "God's Surprising Wonders" is the theme. Don't miss this opportunity to attend an APCE event close to home! Registration is open and all of the information is at www.apcenet.org. It is possible to register for one or two days, or the entire event. A pre-confernce with John Bell of the Iona Community is on Tuesday, January 31.
