Campus Ministries in the Presbytery of Lake Michigan 

The Higher Education Agency of the Presbytery of Lake Michigan sponsors ministries for college students at several public colleges and universities in west Michigan. As students begin the academic year, it is a good time for them to connect with our campus ministries. Please share the names of students with any of these campus ministers: 

Grand Rapids – True North/Finding God’s Direction is a non-traditional ministry for the students at Kendall College of Art and Design, Grand Rapids Community College and the Pew Campus of Grand Valley State University. True North helps students explore how to integrate their Christian faith with their future profession and life choices by connecting students with Christians from a variety of careers. Kalamazoo – United Campus Ministry (UCM) is a non-traditional campus ministry serving higher education campuses in Kalamazoo. Reaching students through service learning, UCM sponsors Habitat for Humanity, Volunteering with Kids, Urban Plunge Weekends, Alternative Spring Breaks, InterAction, and Uncommon Bible Study. Lansing and East Lansing – Peoples EvoLution is a ministry of The Peoples’ Church of East Lansing to Michigan State University and Lansing Community College. This campus ministry focuses on spiritual and personal growth in a safe environment. Directly adjacent to Michigan State University, The Peoples’ Church provides a student lounge with snacks and beverages, computers and Internet connection. The program includes peer ministry, Bible study, service learning, spring break mission trips, inclusion in traditional congregational worship and a contemporary worship service.
